We Break Boundaries To Craft Extraordinary Experiences.
Center-based care and education offers a nurturing and stimulating environment where 2-year-olds can explore, learn, and grow in ways that promote their holistic development (cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development) and lay the foundation for future success in school and life.
The Atikali Pre-School Programme offers our youngest learners:
Socialization: Preschool provides opportunities for children to interact with peers and adults outside of their immediate family, fostering social skills such as sharing, taking turns, cooperation, and communication. These interactions help children learn how to navigate social situations and develop friendships by fostering the development of empathy, communication skills, and the ability to form positive relationships with others.
Early Learning: Our Preschool programme is designed to provide age-appropriate educational experiences that support children’s cognitive development. Through structured activities and play-based learning, children are exposed to early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills, laying a foundation for future academic success.
Language Development: Our preschool exposes children to rich language experiences through conversations, storytelling, and exposure to new vocabulary. This helps children expand their language skills and develop communication skills necessary for expressing themselves and understanding others.
Independence and Self-Regulation: In our preschool children are encouraged to develop independence and self-help skills, such as dressing themselves, using the bathroom independently, and following simple instructions. Additionally, the children learn how to regulate their emotions and behavior in a group setting, which is essential for school readiness. Our caregivers and educators offer support, comfort, and guidance, helping children build resilience and develop healthy emotional coping strategies.
Physical Development: The Atikali Preschool day always includes opportunities for gross motor play, such as running, jumping, and climbing, as well as fine motor activities like drawing, painting, and manipulating small objects. Engaging in physical activities helps toddlers develop coordination, balance, and strength, promoting overall physical health and well-being.
Cultural and Diversity Awareness: The school family will expose children to diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives, fostering empathy, tolerance, and acceptance of others. Children learn to appreciate differences and develop a sense of belonging within a diverse community.
Parental Support: Atikali offers resources, workshops, and support services for parents, helping them navigate the challenges of parenting young children and promoting positive parent-child interactions at home. This would include information on child development, parenting strategies, and access to community resources. Parent involvement in preschool programs strengthens the home-school connection and supports children’s overall development.
Preparation for Kindergarten: The Pre-School programme serves as a transition between home and formal schooling, helping toddlers become familiar with routines, structures, and expectations similar to those they will encounter in kindergarten.
